After the application for membership has been effectively received, the swissceramics board will decide on the definitive admission.

They are accepted as active members:

• Category 1: Candidates who have obtained the Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence in a ceramic enterprise or in one of the three vocational schools in Switzerland.

• Category 2: Candidates with equivalent training abroad.
The board checks the validity of their documents and references.

• Category 3: Autodidacts who practice a ceramic profession.
The application must be submitted in writing by three Ceramic Members (formerly 'Active Members') to the board of swissceramics.

Swiss citizens can become ceramic members, regardless of whether they live and/or work in Switzerland or abroad.
Foreign nationals can become ceramic members if they live and/or work in Switzerland.

Detailed information (only versions in German and French) on the categories of members and the conditions of admission can be found in Article 3 of the Association's Statutes. The annual fee for ceramic members is currently CHF 250.00. The amount will be invoiced after admission.
